- Are products under warranty?Purchasing on the official website and at our boutiques gives you a two-year product warranty.
- How do I know that a product is authentic? The authenticity of Hogan products is guaranteed by the exclusive network of boutiques managed directly by Hogan, at a small selection of franchisees, department and specialised shops and on hogan.com.
Counterfeit products are often sold on websites registered with a domain consisting of the Hogan brand name - or small variations thereof - and descriptive or generic words such as, 'bags' or 'outlet'.
To report a counterfeit Hogan product or a suspicious website, please contact us.
- How do I find the right size?On the website you will find sizes on the tags of our products. We always use Italian sizing, except for men's shoes which are expressed in English measurements. On the product description pages you will find a guide to help you choose the most suitable size, or you can refer to our size guide.
If you have any doubts about the fit of a product, please do not hesitate to contact our Customer Service.
- How can I best take care of the product? Our products are crated from high quality materials by experienced craftsmen. Over the years, leather products can acquire a natural coating that, together with the signs of time such as creases and veins, give them a unique appearance.
A few cautions are needed to best preserve them, such as avoiding contact with oils and alcohol-based substances (hand sanitisers, perfumes, disinfectants) and following the maintenance and care information that accompanies each product.
A cleaning and maintenance kit for footwear is also on sale on our website.
- How can I take care of my footwear?Hogan footwear is made with highly selected leathers and fabrics. Any imperfections, creases, shading or irregularities are considered characteristics of the product.
PRODUCT CARE AND STORAGE
It is recommended to store the footwear in its designated fabric dustbag in a dry, clean and ventilated environment, away from heat sources, direct lamp light, and sunlight. Ensure that the shoes do not come into contact with other leathers, fabrics, alcohol, oils, solvents and make sure that embroidery and crystals are well protected. Avoid immersing in water and machine washing. It is advised to alternate shoes after two consecutive days of use to allow the leather to air out and recover from stress.
HOW TO MAINTAIN THE SHOES SHAPE
The shoe shape changes over time adapting to the wearer; leathers, naturally, tend to form wrinkles and creases. To prolong the elasticity and maintain the shape of the shoes, it is recommended to stuff them with tissue paper.
SMOOTH OR GRAINED LEATHERS
Clean the smooth or grained leather with a soft cloth, slightly wet with water. Allow to dry and polish in circular motions using a soft cloth and a high-quality neutral cream.
PATENTED LEATHERS
Use a light-coloured cloth slightly dampened with water, then dry with a soft cloth. To avoid colour transfer, do not put in contact with other highly pigmented leathers or fabrics.
METALLIC LEATHERS
Laminated or metallic leather can be cleaned with a soft, dry cloth.
SUEDE LEATHERS
Suede and nubuck leathers can be cleaned with a soft bristle brush. If the shoes have been in contact with water, let them dry before proceeding. For superficial stains, you can use a rubber brush.
PONY-SKIN EFFECT LEATHERS
Pony-skin effect calfskin leathers are processed using a special tanning method; any colour shades are considered peculiar of the leather. Clean with a soft and slightly dampened cloth, always respecting the direction of the hair. Avoid repeated rubbing, e.g. with the hem of trousers.
FABRICS AND COMBINED MATERIALS
After cleaning the fabric parts, let the shoes dry away from heat sources, direct lamp light or sunlight, then store them in their designated dustbag. Avoid immersing in water. The fabrics used have a finish that often limits the risk of stains, however, special attention should be paid to light colours.
SATIN
Satin can be cleaned using a slightly dampened cloth with gentle circular motions. Since it is a delicate material, be particularly careful not to rub excessively.
VELVET
Velvet is a particularly delicate material and subject to wear. Avoid contact with rainwater, mud and abrasive agents. To remove small amounts of dirt, use a soft cloth, slightly dampened with water.
WOOLS AND TWEED
Protect shoes with wool inserts from rain, water, alcohol, oil and other liquids. Avoid contact with sharp or abrasive objects and surfaces that could cause tears of the fabric. Superficial dirt can be gently removed using a clean, dry and soft cloth.
PVC
PVC is a synthetic fiber whose surface may fog out during use. Dirt can be gently removed using a cloth dampened with water. Do not use leather care products as they may alter the transparency.
INTERNAL LINING
Use a soft cloth slightly dampened with water.
OUTSOLES
Leather bottoms: subject to signs of wear after the first use, not to be considered a manufacturing defect.
Rubber bottoms: it is recommended to use a common neutral degreaser, to be removed with a soft cloth, being careful not to apply the product on the upper (leather/fabric/etc.).
ACCESSORIES
It is recommended to clean using a soft microfiber cloth.
- How can I take care of my bags?Hogan bags are made with highly selected leathers and fabrics. Slight imperfections are considered characteristic of leather, as well as fading and the appearance of wrinkles, veins, and marks due to use and the passage of time. To preserve the shape, it is recommended to store the bag in its designated fabric dustbag and fill it with tissue paper. Keep it in a cool and dry place, away from heat sources and direct sunlight.
Avoid cleaning using abrasive materials and solvents; remove any stains and dust with a soft, dry cloth.
CALFSKIN LEATHER
These carefully chosen leathers can be damaged by non-specific cleaning products, oils, cosmetics, perfumes and creams. Veins and wrinkles are to be considered natural characteristics.
In case of contact with water or rain, dab with a light-coloured cloth.
PATENT LEATHER
Avoid contact between patent leather surfaces and materials that may release colour (e.g. magazines and denim garments) and direct exposure to sunlight. Light shades, in particular, are more delicate and may yellow, lose intensity or change colour. To remove any stains, we recommend cleaning with a soft cloth.
FABRIC
Contact with intense coloured materials may cause colour transfer. To avoid abrasion, it is recommended to avoid rubbing against particularly hard or rough surfaces (carpets, walls, concrete). If there are superficial stains, clean with a soft cloth.
FUR
In case of contact with water or rain, it is recommended to clean with a soft cloth and let air dry. Avoid using a hair dryer or other heat sources.
SUEDE
In case of contact with water or rain, it is recommended to clean with a soft cloth and let air dry. Avoid using a hair dryer or other heat sources. For cleaning, use a small brush with rubber and bristles.
RAFFIA AND WICKER
For superficial stains, it is recommended to clean with a soft, dry cloth and let air dry.
- How can I take care of my clothes? To take care of your garments, it is recommended to always keep and consult the instructions on the label.
LEATHER AND FUR
Subjected to treatments that give unique and exclusive characteristics, they should be entrusted to specialists in real leather and fur treatment.
Avoid contact with objects and materials that may transfer colour. Prolonged exposure to sun or water can cause the leather to harden and discolour.
It is advised not to store leather items in plastic covers, as this could damage them.
PRINTS
Sweatshirts and T-shirts with prints should be washed inside out, separately, and with similar colours. It is recommended to avoid prolonged exposure to light and heat.
DENIM
Items crafted in denim, dyed or treated with special finishes, should be washed inside out, separately, and should not be soaked. It is advised not to expose them to direct light sources for extended periods, especially if folded, to avoid more pronounced discolouration of exposed parts.
Do not use stain removers and avoid excessive rubbing to remove stains.
